Professor Dr. Ataullah Shah, Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University (KIU), specially attended a meeting organized under the USAID-funded Higher Education System Support Activities (HESSA) program. According to the KIU Public Relations Department, representatives from partner universities also participated in the meeting along with the Vice Chancellor of KIU.
This program provides training to partner universities on leadership quality and governance, curriculum and research improvement, enhancement of student services, and the development of skills among students. Under this program, over 70 faculty members and staff from KIU have received training so far.
The meeting involved detailed discussions on the actions taken under the HESSA project, the achievement of set objectives, and the planning for the next year. The Vice Chancellor of KIU expressed special thanks to the HESSA project officials, stating that this important project included the university from a remote area and assured that more opportunities will be provided to enhance the capabilities of the university’s faculty and staff in the future.
